“He is the happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home.” ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Remember that time I moved in July? Of course you do because people keep asking me about the apartment and I keep saying that I love it. And hand to heart I do love it it’s just that it isn’t what I want it to be just yet. It’s not home. It’s a place where I dump my crap in the middle of the floor and then step around piles and my cat to get what I need. I survey the place with a shake of my head and then go to bed thinking, I’ll do better come morning!. Morning comes and rinse and repeat.
I’m living that If there’s chaos in your space, there is chaos in your life, mantra. I’m excelling at that.
The Life List includes making my apartment a home and I’ll be damned if I’m not going to do just that. It’s like if you say things on the Internet and put them out there then they’ll magically come true. So, Internet, I’m getting my apartment together and the shit off the floor. The housewarming/open house/stock my bar/whatever will be in early November before I start a travel spree.
I’m excited about some accent type pieces that have already been purchased but it would be nice for the television and the Wii to have a home. So I’m going to start a series of my favorite apartment purchases. Starting with the vintage glassware from the Branch and Birdie Etsy shop that I bought back in August.
Mad Men was about to premiere and I had just bought an iTunes season pass. I felt the need to really get into and ready for this show. I didn’t have a pointy bra to keep the girls up or a well-fitted dress and heels. So I opted for vintage glassware that would be sure to impress Sterling and Cooper. They’re precious and perfect for hard liquor. I’m going to have people over for Jack Daniel’s neat and the ladies will have to wear lipstick – NOT gloss – and their best vintage pearls. Or at least that’s how I envision using these glasses.

Oooh, that’s gorgeous!
Wade might get on a plane and come to Albany to steal those glasses. Just so you know.
I love the glasses!
I tried e-mailing you a few weeks ago with no luck on a response. I imagine you’re too busy for e-mails from strangers. Be that as it may, I enjoy your website and look forward to your posts. Thanks for adding to my day
I’m going to put out on the internet that I want to be invited to drink that whiskey…oh, and that I want to lose 40 pounds.
Aren’t vintage glasses the best?
