“Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.” ~Carl Sandburg
Today was one of those days when the task of showering required Herculean effort so I instead I stayed in bed a little longer. I got up with a headache that felt like a timpani was being played on each side of my temple. I had to wear an ill fitting outfit. I wore pants that needed to be sprayed with Downy Wrinkle Releaser on the drive to work and I’m pretty sure I was sporting a camel toe. I used my sunglasses as a headband and the headache. Holy hell the headache. The door to my office remained closed for most of the day and I had to have cafeteria pizza for lunch, the kind with pools of grease are deep enough for a little wading. One of those days where everything I was doing felt like it was being done wrong. I was asked to speak to a group of people where I rambled and talked with my hands. Then went back into my office with the door closed. It was one of those days where I came home early and napped for an hour and the headache remained persistent and so bad that my hair hurt. One of those days where I could only write in the most simple of terms and wallowed and moped while the cat kneaded at the fleshiest parts of my body. One of those days when I didn’t work out because everything hurt and I was tired and when I finally looked in the mirror I wondered how I got through one of those days.
It was one of those days when I can’t wait until the next morning because at least I’ll get to start all over again.

I’m sure your rambling was quite eloquent. Also, my method of dealing with one of those days (LIKE TODAY, FOR INSTANCE) is to make a nice sidecar and put all the cheese in the fridge on a plate. Works every time.
Hope tomorrow’s better.
Do Over’s kick ass. Just sayin’.
Oh, the headaches. Glurg.
If you suffer from headaches and do not already have serious headache drugs, please, oh please go to your doctor and get appropriate prescriptions. I personally put that doctor’s appointment off for years — after all, when my head does not hurt, why go to the doctor? And when it does, it hurts far too much to go to the doctor — do not be as dumb as I was.
I keep my headache drugs in my purse, and oh my lord it makes things SO much better.
Love your writing.
Size 11′s, headache hate and lots of those days are in the house. You know, if it makes you feel any better to know you that your misery has some company.
I know this was posted awhile ago, but I hope by now your headache is gone and your days have turned around a little bit.
