If you get me drunk enough, I *might* sing these songs in a bar

Super Trouper by ABBA

You know Muriel in Muriel’s wedding? I’m like that but American.

Juicy by Notorious BIG

“It was all a dream…I used to read Word Up Magazine”

La Vie Boheme by RENT

I’ve been known to sing this song out loud while running. Like in public. Sober. While on a treadmill.

I posted this as an experiment and it seemed to work. I’ll discuss it more later but I would really like to know what three songs you’d choose for Karaoke. You know, if you were drunk. duh.

I love ABBA too, but don’t have the voice for it…
    I’d go for:
    1) Baby Got Back – Sir Mix A Lot
    2) Mr. Brownstone – Guns N’ Roses
    3) Crazy Train – Ozzy Osborne

“Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack. . . with the hat to match.”

    Make it a trio!

I did karaoke once, and same Xscape (Who Can I Run To) and Maroon 5 (This Love). I definitely like the more upbeat songs better. I would love to sing Feist’s version of “Inside and Out.” I sound like I’m doing drunk karaoke whenever I hear it.

And no lie, my sister and I can do a mean “I’m Proud to be an American.”

    2. don’t stop believing – journey
    3. tiny dancer – elton john.

Ohmygod, you don’t even need to get me drunk, just give me back up (to hopefully drown out some of my awful voice) and I’ll be all over that.

    1. Whole Lotta Love
    2. Dr. Feelgood (Aretha Franklin’s version)
    3. Beautiful Day

I’m known to bust out a little “Break Stuff” by Limp Bizkit on a treadmill. I get quite the looks as I shout ‘You’re best bet is to stay away motherf**ker, It’s just one of those days’

In a karaoke, I can be drunk enough to sing:
    1. Baby Got Back (no skill required)
    2. Hard to Handle (Black Crows)
    3. Keep Me Hanging On (Kim Wilde)

In college my roommates got me so drunk and into the party that I definitely sang along to Splash Waterfalls by Ludacris in front of everyone, which was beyond mortifying later when I realized what I’d done.

So other than that I’ve never truly karaoked, but given the choice I’d probably go with:

    1. Roxanne – The Police
    2. You Can Do It – No Doubt
    3. Fantasy – Mariah Carey

I too sing La Vie Bohem while running in the gym. I’m pretty sure its not good, especially for those around me.

Ooh, if you sing Super Trouper, can I do backup? I have the harmonies memorized – ooh pah pahs included. Sad, yes. Fun? YES.

    1. “Something to Talk About” – Bonnie Raitt
    2. “Waterfalls” – TLC (I know, I know.)
    3. “Goodbye to You” – Scandal

I thought I responded, but clearly not. In any case:

    1) Shoop — Salt n’ Pepa (Oh, YEAH.)
    2) Don’t Stop Believin’- Journey
    3) Fernando- ABBA
