So here is my 2 cents on marketing to women of color. 1. I don't make all my decisions with an ad hoc committee of girlfriends. 2. I don't start my sentences with "Girlfriend" or any variation of the word. 3. I consume things beyond hair products and things for my non-existent children. 4. Sticking ONE black person in an ad doesn't automatically make me want to buy your product. But I appreciate the effort.
