Good times

Even if happiness forgets you a little bit, never completely forget about it.”  ~Jacques Prévert

There were these brief moments when January decided to disengage its foot from my ass and give me a little relief. Instead of doubling over in pain and hobbling around praying that it would end, I took the moments of reprieve to enjoy a little bit of the good times. These were few and far between but I finally uploaded photo and video from the times when January decided that kicking my ass wasn’t in its plans for the day.

Apparently it was really funny

These photos make me smile. Especially the one of me and my mother during Inauguration week. This was before the tears and she cried in the parking lot and before I ended every sentence with, “you’ve got to be fucking kidding me.” When I return January will be over and I will fully embrace February with a full on make out session and if February says, “Hey Heather…how about we…” and it makes some suggestive hand movements and body language, I will be all over that. February will be the rebound month just to make January feel like shit for being such a dick.

She shoots, she pours

And after all that language, here’s a photo of a baby. Dearest Lo, don’t ever let an entire month knock you around repeatedly but if and when it does, Heather will have some cheese and good red blend over here for you.

Meep!

Ah-hah, so that’s where you get your fantastic taste in jewelry. Good to know. Unrelated: does your mom want to take me shopping?

I am with you 100% on January. It slammed me around like Mickey Rourke in the Wrestler. There was inauguration day…and then there was everything else. Out, damned month!

I hope it gets better for you.

The second picture is the key to all happiness. A little bubbly in a clear glass, a great dress, and fantastic jewelry make it easy to tell January to eff off!
